      how do i not feel like a shitty white colonizer in restaurants? my partner is chinese-vietnamese and she and her brother invite me out to a lot of smaller "for the community" places. i love the food ofc, but sometimes I feel real lousy in there. Often I'm the only gweilo, but when I'm not, the other white folks are always giving off these really shitty "absorbing the authenticity" vibes and i feel bummed out. is there anything that can be done here? am i just over white-guilting myself? thank u.
